"In a long, narrow hall, it will seem shorter if you paint the end wall a darker color and the corridor walls a lighter one. Likewise, a short hall will seem longer if you paint the end wall a lighter color and the corridor walls a darker one."

  1. That’s such a clever trick with paint! I once used a similar idea in my hallway, but paired it with soft textured carpets to add warmth. It really changed how the space felt. Do you think lighting plays just as big a role as color in shaping narrow halls?
